New Infographics on 2020 Candidates' Health Plans

Feb 26, 2020 | Health Care

We have updated these infographics – originally published on February 7 – to reflect a new set of proposals released on February 24 by Senator Sanders to offset the cost of his health care plan.

Our recent report, Primary Care: Estimating Democratic Candidates' Health Plans, provides an in-depth analysis and estimates of the health policies proposed by four presidential candidates in the Democratic primary: Vice President Joe Biden, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Senator Bernie Sanders, and Senator Elizabeth Warren. This analysis is a part of our US Budget Watch 2020 project, which is bringing information and accountability to the 2020 presidential campaign through factchecks, policy explainers, and larger fiscal analyses.

To summarize our analysis, we've created four infographics highlighting key aspects of our findings – including how much each plan will add to the debt, how much each candidate will spend and save, the coverage impact of each plan, and the effect of the plans on national health expenditures.
